"It is a serious thing, just to be alive on this fresh morning, in this broken world." -- Mary Oliver

Hello! I’m glad you’re here.

I am a portrait photographer based in Seattle, Washington, where I live with my husband Drew in our nearly 100-year-old craftsman home.

I fell in love with photography on a trip to Oxford, England, in 2009, and have been photographing the faces and places around me ever since.

Photography helps me see things that I might otherwise miss

The way the light falls on trees in August, a shared look of love between a husband and wife, or the precious bond of a mother and child.

To me, the little “in-between” moments are the most special and magical of all, and that is what I strive to represent in my photography.

Through my lens, I delight in capturing the wonder of each moment in the ordinary, lovely messiness of life.

I don't take photos of perfect people, because perfect people don’t exist.

I take photos of real people, with real lives, struggles, and celebrations.

As your photographer, it is my greatest privilege to help you pay attention to and celebrate the beauty that is already a part of your life and relationships.

I'd be delighted to work with you.
